Becca Moros was named Arizona Soccer's head coach on June 16, 2021. Moros enters her sixth season at the helm of the Wildcats in 2026 and Arizona's third season as a member of the Big 12 Conference.
In 2025, Arizona scored 22 goals, led by Aurora Gaines and Jessica Bedolla with four apiece. The Wildcats opened the season with three consecutive victories over UNLV, UC Irvine and New Mexico State and earned Big 12 wins over UCF and Oklahoma State, while recording a scoreless draw against Arizona State.
Since taking over the program, Moros has guided Arizona through its transition from the Pac-12 to the Big 12 while developing conference award winners, professional draft selections and several of the top performers in program history.
In Arizona's inaugural Big 12 season in 2024, the Wildcats advanced to the first round of the Big 12 Championship and earned six conference victories, including wins over Baylor, Cincinnati, BYU, UCF, Kansas State and Arizona State. Nicole Dallin and Gianna Christensen led the attack with eight goals apiece as Arizona scored 32 goals on the season. Dallin earned Preseason All-Big 12 honors as well as TopDrawerSoccer and Big 12 weekly recognition, while Christensen and Narissa Fults also collected conference weekly honors.
The Wildcats scored 25 goals in 2023 behind nine from Dallin, the fourth-most in the Pac-12 that season. Arizona earned conference victories over Oregon, Utah and Arizona State and battled No. 11 USC to a 1-1 draw. Goalkeeper Hope Hisey concluded her Arizona career as the program's all-time leader with 366 saves and was named the 2023 Pac-12 Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Hisey was later selected by the Kansas City Current with the 46th pick of the NWSL Draft, becoming the second Wildcat drafted during Moros' tenure.
Moros guided Arizona to an 8-7-3 record in 2022, including five conference victories and a sixth-place Pac-12 finish after the Wildcats were picked last in the preseason conference poll. Arizona opened the season with victories over Iowa State and Texas Tech, marking the first time in program history the Wildcats began a season with consecutive wins over Power Five opponents. The Wildcats also showed significant defensive improvement, allowing 15 fewer goals than the previous season. Following the year, Iliana Hocking became Arizona's first NWSL Draft selection when NJ/NY Gotham FC selected her with the 44th overall pick.
During Moros' first season in Tucson, she helped mentor Jill Aguilera as she became Arizona's all-time leader in career goals. The Wildcats closed the season with a 2-1 victory over Arizona State, extending the program's winning streak over the Sun Devils to seven matches.
Before arriving in Tucson, Moros served as an assistant coach with Gotham FC. She helped the club win the East Division during the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup and served as acting head coach for the final group-stage match. Gotham ultimately finished as Challenge Cup runner-up following a penalty shootout.
A standout at Duke, Moros earned All-America honors and was a three-time All-ACC selection. She appeared in 86 matches during her collegiate career, recording 15 goals and 20 assists, with her 20 assists tied for fifth-most in Duke history at the conclusion of her career. Moros also competed with the U.S. U21 National Team in 2006 and served as a team captain during her senior season.
Moros was selected by the Washington Freedom in the sixth round with the 36th overall pick of the 2009 Women's Professional Soccer Draft. Her professional career spanned more than a decade, including three seasons in Women's Professional Soccer, two seasons in Japan's Nadeshiko League and six seasons in the NWSL.
She retired from professional soccer following the 2019 season with Utah Royals FC and immediately transitioned into coaching.
