SENIOR (2014-15)
Completed 2014-15 with a 17-9 overall record, while going 14-6 in singles play… Her 17 wins overall were tied for third-best on the team and her 14 dual match wins were the second highest on the team… All 14 dual match victories came from the No.2 position, while she also posted a 2-4 mark against nationally ranked opponents…won 10 out of 11 matches at the No.2 from Jan. 24 – March 13… of those 10, nine of them were straight-set victories… in doubles play was paired up with Shayne Austin where to duo compiled a team-best 13-8 record..12 of those victories came from the No.1 spot including going team-best 3-4 against ranked tandems, best mark for the Wildcats…won 12 of her last 19 doubles matches alongside Austin from Feb. 20 - April 23, including knocking off two top-five opponents and three top-25 tandems during that span…earned a doubles berth (with Austin) in the 2015 NCAA Tournament and finished the season ranked No. 92 in the final ITA individual poll…Preston/Austin finished season ranked as the No. 29 double tandem in the nation.
Before Arizona
Graduated from Rangitoto College in Auckland, New Zealand in December of 2010… Played for two years at Morehead State University where she was the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Player of the Year in her sophomore season… Was named the OVC Player of the Week twice during her sophomore season… Finished 24-5 in singles and 18-9 in doubles during her sophomore season.
Personal: Daughter of Ross and Jenny Preston… Born in Auckland, New Zealand… has one sister named Amanda.
Biggest influence on her tennis career: “My parents because they have been with me every step of the way. I wouldn’t have been able to go to a school like Arizona without them and their support.”
Spends free time: Traveling, playing the guitar, hiking and online shopping.
Looking forward to: Playing with her new teammates and learning from her new coaches.
Favorite place to play tennis other than Arizona: Mangawhai, New Zealand
Hidden talent: She is ambidextrous.

Why she chose Arizona: “I connected with Coach Maes very quickly. She made me feel very comfortable and I know that I wanted to play for her. The beautiful weather also won me over very quickly.”
