TUCSON, Ariz. – The 2016 edition of the annual McDonald's Red-Blue Game has been scheduled for Friday, Oct. 14 in the McKale Center. The unofficial start to the Arizona Basketball season will include the men's basketball reunion, which happens every 10 years, along with a special recognition of the 1997 National Championship team's 20th anniversary.
Tickets for the McDonald's Red-Blue game will go on sale Wednesday, June 1 at 9 a.m. MST. Sections A and B will be sold for $15. Sections C, D, and E will go for $10 and F and N Upper areas are priced at $7. The Zona Zoo will have a reservation period in October.
Fans can purchase tickets online by clicking HERE, over the phone by calling (520) 621-CATS (2287), or in person at the McKale Ticket Office. New this year, all tickets for the McDonald's Red-Blue game will be reserved for the entire arena. This will alleviate previous concerns about fans standing in line in the heat prior to doors opening.
Alumni activities include recognition of former men's basketball student-athletes in attendance during the McDonald's Red-Blue Game and the Wildcats' football game versus USC the following day. There will also be a recognition of the '97 National Championship team at halftime of the USC game. The game against the Trojans in Arizona Stadium is part of Family Weekend. Tickets for the USC football game will also go on sale on June 1 and will utilize a new pricing model called Bear Down Pricing. For more information on Bear Down Pricing, click HERE.
