Arizona Softball Shuts Out Alabama

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - The Arizona softball team continued its unbeaten streak Saturday at the Palm Springs Classic, defeating Alabama, 5-0. The Wildcats' season mark improved to 14-0, and sophomore pitcher Alicia Hollowell struck out 14 as she collected her ninth win.
Freshman shortstop Kristie Fox drove in three runs in the game with a third-inning homer to left center. Senior first baseman Wendy Allen added to the Cats' offense, going two-for-two and scoring a run.
The Wildcats will continue Palm Springs Day Two action when they face Cal State Fullerton at 3 p.m.
