SEATTLE, Wash. - The No. 25 University of Arizona volleyball team lost its third straight five-set contest Friday evening, falling 3-2 to No. 7 Washington. Set scores were: 25-20, 25-16, 20-25, 17-25, 15-10.

Tiffany Owens posted her sixth straight double-double, recording 17 kills and 14 digs.  Setter Paige Weber also had a double-double, leading the offense with 43 assists and tallying 10 digs.

The Wildcats found themselves down 2-0 going into intermission but pulled even with the Huskies by taking sets three and four to force overtime.  In the extended period, UA got down early and could not overtake the Huskies.

Neither team was very efficient throughout the match as each failed to hit over .150, with UA managing to hit at a .139 clip.  UW's Becky Perry was the Huskies' catalyst with 19 kills, eight digs and six blocks.

Arizona, which falls to 14-7 overall and 3-5 in the Pac-10 Conference, has now played in five consecutive five-set matches, winning just two of the five.  UA has not won on Hec Ed court in Seattle since 2002. Additionally, five of Arizona's seven losses this season have come in five-set matches.

Tomorrow, the Wildcats head to Pullman, Wash. to play Washington State at 7 p.m. MST.  The Cougars fell to ASU in five sets Friday to remain winless in the conference this season.
