TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 5 Arizona women's golf posted the third-lowest score of round three on Sunday to move into the top three at the NCAA Championships. The Wildcats posted 12 birdies on Sunday for a total of 36 for the tournament.
No. 4 Duke leads the team race with an 894 (+30). No. 1 USC sits in second place with an 898 (+34). No. 5 Arizona rounds out the top three with a 905 (+41) and daily rounds of 300, 311 and 294. Emma Talley of Alabama is the individual leader with a 216 (E).
Sophomore Wanasa Zhou paced the Cats in round three and carded a 70 (-2) for a combined score of 224 (+8). She sits in a tie for 18th place. Freshman Krystal Quihuis shot a 73 (+1) to improve to tied for 24th (226, +10). Senior Lindsey Weaver shares a tie for 29th place with a combined score of 227 (+11).
Senior Kendall Prince moved up to a tie for 45th place with her round three of 74 (+2). She holds a combined score of 230 (+14). Senior Manon Gidali rounds out the Arizona five in a tie for 93rd with a score of 240 (+24).
No. 5 Arizona will tee at 12:10 p.m. ET on Monday for the fourth and final round of stroke play. The Wildcats will play with No. 1 USC and No. 4 Duke, starting at hole No. 1.
