Tucson, Ariz. – The University of Arizona men's golf team finished play at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate today in Albuquerque, N.M. The Wildcats took 14th place with a score of 47 over par. Sophomore Jordan Gumberg led the team with a score of 77-74-75=226 (+10). He tied for 47th place.
Freshman golfer Ari Guiuigian carded a 74-77-77=228 (+12) and earned a share of 56th place. Sophomore Jacob Kreeuz brought home a 75-76-78=229 (+13). This managed him part of the tie for 65th place. Sophomore Max Donohue notched 77-79-75=231 (+15) and a tie for 71st place with Redshirt Freshman Andrew Garner, who scored a 75-78-78=231 (+15).
Arizona sent four individual golfers to the tournament in addition to the team. Freshman Tyler Moore scored a 79-74-79=232 (+16) in the tournament, earning a tie for 77th place. Freshman Martin Larrea notched an 82-80-76=238 (+22) and managed a share of 89th place. Senior Kolton Lapa netted 80-80-79=239 (+23) which was enough for a tie for the 91st position. Redshirt Freshman Austin Stadeli managed a 79-82-80=241 (+25) which earned him part of 93rd place.
The Wildcats compete again in a week at the NCI Invitational in Portland, Oregon.
