Hailey Breaks School Hurdle Record in Jim Click Shootout

TUCSON, Ariz. – With roughly 60 athletes competing today the Wildcats were kept busy and excelled at the Jim Click Shootout here at their own Roy P. Drachman Stadium.

The highlight of the day was Nnenya Hailey. Hailey broke the school record in the 100-meter hurdle race at 12.96 seconds. That time is also the best in the country this year.

“It feels really good.” Nnenya Hailey said. “It's exciting because I have the record in the 60-meter hurdle too, so now that I have the record in both I am very excited. As for the 400-meter hurdles I am still working on that every day trying to perfect it. Just having a good meet is what I was shooting for today.”
