Tucson, Ariz- Senior Shayne Austin and junior Lauren Marker will represent Arizona in the 2016 NCAA Women's Tennis Championships in Tulsa, Okla. beginning on May 25.  The 28th-ranked duo of Marker and Austin boast a 15-5 record on court one, and will be one of 32 doubles teams competing. Marker, a very recent First-Team All-Pac-12 honoree, will also be competing in the 64 person singles bracket.

“We were expecting to be selected based on the consistent results both Lauren and Shayne have had all year,” said head coach Vicky Maes, “but actually getting the invitation is always a great relief. It's been a long time since anyone made the NCAA's in both singles and doubles, but I credit Shayne a lot for being key in that pairing and stepping up when they needed to. We are looking forward to going to Tulsa and hope to represent the Cats well in both the singles and the doubles draw.
