TUCSON, Ariz. – After leading the Pac-12 Conference in attendance for a 32nd consecutive season, the Arizona Wildcats posted another strong mark in the NCAA's attendance rankings for the 2015-16 season. Arizona's average crowd of 14,526 ranked 15th in the nation last season. It marked 31st consecutive season the Wildcats have finished in the top 25 in attendance in the country with the last 30 of those seasons having top 20 rankings.
The McKale Center filled to a 99.2 percent capacity mark this season, including 14 sellouts in its 18 home dates. Not included in those figures is the maximum capacity crowd that was on hand for the annual McDonald's Red-Blue game held on Oct. 17. The 2016 edition of unofficial kick off to basketball season in Tucson is almost sold out, six months prior to the game.
UA's unrelenting fan support has fueled the program's dominance in the McKale Center in recent years. Arizona is 55-8 (.873) in seven seasons at home under Sean Miller after winning 49 consecutive games over the span of nearly three years.
Arizona Basketball was also a hot ticket outside of Tucson as well. During Pac-12 play, opposing teams saw an average increase of 46.8 percent in attendance when they hosted the Wildcats.
