Treston Qualifies for Finals at Junior World Championships

POLAND – Incoming freshman Matthew Treston has qualified for the finals in the 110m hurdles at the Junior World Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland by clocking a time of 13.70 in the semifinals while competing for Great Britain.

His time of 13.70 was good for second place in his heat. Earlier in the day, Treston clocked a time of 13.66 in the prelims, which was also good for second place in his heat.

Treston signed a letter of intent to compete for head coach Fred Harvey and the Arizona Wildcats in the upcoming 2016-17 season. He set a personal best of 13.48 in the 110m hurdles back on June 19th in Bedford, Great Britian.

Future Wildcat Karla Teran, who is competing in the high jump for Mexico will compete on July 22.
