Baton Rouge, LA - Arizona Track & Field completed its second outdoor meet of the 2026 season this weekend with the Battle on the Bayou at LSU.
The Wildcats sent 12 sprinters to LSU to compete against some of the top competition in the country. The Wildcats were able to secure eight top-10 finishes this weekend.
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
In the Men's 400m hurdles,
Yan Vazquez finished fourth overall with a time of 51.04. This moves him into the top 30 in the NCAA. On the Women's side in the 400m hurdles,
Cecelia Woods finished seventh overall with a personal best time of 59.66.
In the Men's 110m hurdles,
John Paredes finished sixth overall with a time of 13.75.
Parker Duskin finished seventh overall with a time of 13.81, and
Bogdan Vidojkovic finished ninth overall with a time of 14.01. On the Women's side in the 110m hurdles,
Taylen Wise finished seventh overall with a time of 13.33. This moves her into the top 30 in the NCAA.
In the Men's 4x100m relay, the Wildcats finished fifth overall with a time of 39.42.
Ousman Jagne,
John Paredes,
James Onanubosi, and
Mason Lawyer competed for the Wildcats. On the Women's side in the 4x100m relay, the Wildcats finished seventh overall with a time of 44.51.
McKenna Watson,
Brooke Lyons,
Taylen Wise, and
Zakiya Hill competed for the Wildcats.
UP NEXT
The Wildcats next meet is on April 11th, where they will host the Dual in the Desert between Arizona and Arizona State at Drachman Stadium.
