TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona head football coach
Rich Rodriguez and his staff recognized numerous players Sunday afternoon as the program named its players of the week following Saturday's 31-21 victory over Grambling State.
Nose guard
Parker Zellers was named the team's Hard Edge Player of the Week for his performance against the Tigers. Zellers recorded four tackles, including a pair of sacks, while forcing two fumbles.
Long snapper
Nick Reinhardt earned the team's first Special Teams Player of the Week honor. Reinhardt was perfect on his snaps for punts and place kicks.
Josh Pollack was 4-for-4 on extra point kicks and added 31-yard field goal, while he punted four times with an average of 48.0 yards and two boots inside the 20-yardline.
Scout team player of the week accolades were awarded to
Bryson Cain (offense),
Richard Merritt (defense) and
Lee Anderson III (special teams).
The Student of the Week was presented to
Richie Estrada, while a handful of Wildcats were recognized for their community service efforts, including
Sani Fuimaono,
Jake Matthews,
Malcolm Holland,
Jamie Nunley,
Luca Bruno and
Matt Morin.
The Wildcats remain home this week to host Hawai'i at Arizona Stadium this Saturday. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Network at 7:45 p.m.
