The 11th ranked University of Arizona women's golf team begins their second tournament of year, the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, on Sunday, Sept. 25 in Orlando, Fla. Arizona State, Arkansas, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Central Florida, UCLA, USC, and Virginia will compete in the event. The tournament boasts a great field with 11 of the 12 participating teams ranked in the Golfweek Preseason Top 20.
The Wildcats hope to build off their fifth-place finish two weeks ago at The Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. Junior Krystal Quihuis and sophomore Haley Moore both tied for third place in the individual competition posting scores of 206 which finished at 10-under-par.
The tournament is hosted by former Wildcat and LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam at the par 72 Reunion Resort Watson Course. The Cats finished in second place (-13) at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate last year.
