The University of Arizona women's golf team will begin their second tournament of the spring season in New Orleans, La. at the 2017 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship on Sunday. They will be competing at the English Turn Golf & Country Club.
Competing for the Wildcats will be junior Natalia Forero, sophomore Danielle Lee, sophomore Haley Moore, junior Krystal Quihuis, senior Jessica Vasilic, and senior Wanasa Zhou.
The tournament is hosted by Tulane University and the field includes Central Florida, Clemson, Denver, Florida, Houston, LSU, Miami (Fla.), Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Stanford, Texas, UTSA, Virginia, and Washington.
Arizona has finished in fourth place the last two years at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate. In 2015 Quihuis finished individually in fourth place at one-over-par, and in a tie for 15th in 2016. Moore looks to continue her excellent play as she has finished in the top-10 in four out of the five events so far this season. Lee came off of her low round of the season last week at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge where in the first round she shot a one-under-par round of 70.
