Cats Complete Round One In New Orleans

The University of Arizona women's golf team completed the first round of play at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship on Sunday in New Orleans, La. The Wildcats are tied for 9th place after shooting 296 (+8). Miami is leading the tournament at one-under-par. Mariell Bruun of Denver and Dewi Weber of Miami lead the individual competition shooting four-under-par.
Sophomore Haley Moore led the way shooting a two-under-par round of 70, and is tied for fourth individually. Sophomore Danielle Lee shot a round of 73, and is tied for 20th place. Junior Krystal Quihuis shot a four-over-par round of 76. Senior Wanasa Zhou is tied for 59th after carding a 77. Senior Jessica Vasilic shot 84 on the round. Junior Natalia Forero playing as an individual is tied for 44th after a four-over-par round of 76.
The Wildcats will begin second round play on Monday morning starting at 8 a.m. MST/9 a.m. CST.
