TUCSON, ARIZ. – The University of Arizona men's golf team concluded play in the two day ASU Thunderbird Invitational on Sunday. The Cats scored a 852 (E) in the two day contest and will tie with Utah for eighth place.
"Today was much better for our group," commented head men's golf coach
Jim Anderson. "We still have areas to clean up but I think we are still getting close to a break through week. George (Cunningham) and Jordan (Gumberg) are showing consistency and I believe we can count on them to save a few more shots positing great scores. In the meantime, our younger, less experienced guys are getting close to equally impressive rounds. David was awesome today with four birdies in his final five holes. Dylan really rebounded and responded to Chris' strategy advice on the course. We are going to compete for spots on the next trip and we need a great outing in Eugene."

The junior will end the competition having shot a 211 (-2), his best finish at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational in his career.
