FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Arizona diving wrapped up day 1 of the NCAA Zone E Championships as the women competed in the 3-meter and the men dove from the 1-meter. The top nine qualified for the women and men.
Senior
Karolyn Loftus led the day finishing tenth in the 3-meter with 592.95, just missing a qualifying spot in the event at the NCAA Championships. She took seventh in the prelims with a score of 298.90.
In the finals, Loftus was followed by senior
Sally Hackett in 11th (591.75). Hackett also placed 11th in the prelims with 288.95.
Junior
Kaitlin Costello finished 24th in the prelims of the 3-meter with 265.20. Freshman
Casey Ponton took 20th in the men's 1-meter with a score of 263.90.
Up Next: Arizona diving continues the Zone E Championships on Tuesday, Mar. 7 at 11 a.m. MST. The women will compete in the 1-meter and the men in the 3-meter. The top eleven qualify for the women and the top five will qualify for men.

Women's 1-meter Finals: 2:35 p.m.
Men's 3-meter Prelims: 5:35 p.m.
Men's 3-meter Finals: 7:20 p.m.
