Wildcats in Seventh After Round One of NCAA Regionals

The University of Arizona women's golf team completed the first round play at the NCAA Regionals in Athens, Ga. The Wildcats are in seventh place after shooting 10-over on the day.
Junior Krystal Quihuis lead the way with a one-under-par round of 71. She is currently tied for seventh place. Sophomore Gigi Stoll carded a round of 73 that included four birdies. Stoll is tied for 15th place. Sophomore Haley Moore is tied for 54th after shooting a 77. Senior Wanasa Zhou finished her first round by posting a 77. Senior Jessica Vasilic also finished the day at five-over and shot a 77.
Michigan State leads the team competition by five strokes over Alabama after shooting four-under as a team. Jennifer Kupcho of Wake Forest leads the individual competition at four-under after posting a round of 68.
UA sits in seventh place with the six teams with the lowest scores after three rounds advancing to the NCAA Championships at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill.
