Aari McDonald scored 32 points and Arizona (3-1) cruised to a 92-70 victory over the Portland Pilots (3-1) on Sunday afternoon in Honolulu. The Wildcats won both games at the Bank of Hawaii Classic this weekend after they also knocked off Seattle U on Friday.

McDonald had her second 30-point game of the season and shot 10-16 on the day to go with a career-high five three-pointers. She also added in seven assists.
Cate Reese had another good game to start her career, scoring 15 points and bringing down nine rebounds.

Lucia Alonso also added in 13 points and made three three-pointers.

As a team, the Wildcats scored the most points they have since Jan. 13, 2013 when they scored 100 against Oregon. The Wildcats shot north of 50% once again, knocking down 51% of their shots while sinking 12 three-pointers at a 38% clip. Arizona kept the turnovers low as well as they turned it over just nine times compared to 17 assists.

Arizona caught fire early and often in the first half, making 52% of their shots as well as nine three-pointers. McDonald led the way with 20 points while Alonso chipped in with 10 of her own.

The Wildcats outscored the Pilots 30-18 in the first quarter as six players in red scored, including all five starters. Arizona followed that up with 25 more points in the second quarter thanks to perfect free throw shooting (10-10).

Arizona was able to hold off Portland's three-pointers by scoring 20 points of their own in the third quarter, nine from McDonald. Portland was able to win the fourth quarter, but just by three points and Arizona was able to bring home the win with ease.

The Wildcats will head back to Tucson tonight and will face South Carolina State the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. MST in McKale Center.
