TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona (4-1) outscored South Carolina State (2-4) 39-15 in the second half and ran away with Friday night's game by a score of 73-32.
Cate Reese recorded her second-career double-double with 19 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.

Aari McDonald had her lowest scoring output of the season with 15 points, but she added in six points and five assists.
Dominique McBryde got into double-figures for the first time in her Arizona career with 10 points to go along with six rebounds.

Sam Thomas was a menace on the defensive end, blocking a career-high five shots and tied her career-high with four steals. That is the second time this season Thomas has finished the game with four steals.

As a team, Arizona dominated the paint, outscoring the Bulldogs 42-14 inside and outrebounded them 54-32.

South Carolina State couldn't get anything going on the offensive end all night as Arizona forced them into 19.6% shooting, including 14.3% from three. Meanwhile, Arizona shot 45% from the field.

The Wildcats got out to a quick start in the first quarter starting the game on a 13-2 run and would eventually finish off the period up 17-10, with Reese scoring nine of Arizona's points. South Carolina State could only muster seven points in the second quarter and the Wildcats used a 17-4 run to take a 34-17 lead heading into halftime.

Arizona used another big run to finish out the quarter in the third, outscoring the Bulldogs 17-4 in the final half of the third quarter to take a 52-29 lead into the fourth.

The Arizona defense really locked things down in the fourth quarter, allowing just three points in the entire quarter with the first point coming with 57 seconds left on a free throw. On the offensive end, Arizona scored 21 points and shot 57% in the to give them a 41-point win, their largest of the season.
The Wildcats are back in action on Tuesday, Nov. 27 against Incarnate Word in McKale Center. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. MST.
