This year, we had school records broken, excellent team and individual performances, and introduced a new coach. As 2018 comes to a close, we would like to highlight our Top 10 posts on social media.

10. Senior
Matt Salerno won the Pac-12 Leadership Award on December 7. The senior received a $3,000 postgraduate scholarship for demonstrating extraordinary leadership, both in and out of the pool, which he will use towards earning his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine next year.

9. Women arrived in Federal Way, Washington ready to begin the postseason with Pac-12 Championships on February 20. This tweet earned 13,800 impressions and 1,600 total engagements, including 14 retweets, 106 likes, and 4 replies.

8. On August 27, the Wildcats introduced
Dwight Dumais as the new diving coach. Dumais is a former collegiate All-American diver and decorated international diving coach. The announcement earned 73 reactions, 1 comment, and 1 share.

7. Sarah Shimomura won the Pac-12 Sportsmanship Award on May 9. During the 2017-18 season, Shimomura displayed exemplary sportsmanship and teamwork. She continued to attend practices and cheer on her teammates at meets even though she could not compete.

6. Kirsten Jacobsen finished third in the 500 free at NCAA Championships with 4:35.04, second-fastest in program history on March 15. This post reached almost 6,000 people, with 600 likes, 21 comments, and 3 bookmarks.

5. The women's team posted the highest semester GPA in program history with 3.66 in the spring. This academic feat was announced on May 31 and received 16 retweets and 65 likes, while reaching over 6,000 people.

4. Introducing the 2018-19 Swim and Dive team on September 24 earned 775 likes and 8 comments on Instagram. This post reached 9,562 people, and earned 8 bookmarks and 400 profile visits.

3. Nick Thorne set the school record in the 400 IM at NCAA Championships on March 23, which earned a silver medal and an NCAA A cut with 3:38.56. This tweet received 12,332 impressions and 235 engagements with 21 retweets and 127 likes.

2. Sophomore
Delaney Schnell set the school record in the Platform dive at the Lumberjack Diving Invitational on November 20. She earned 339 points, crushing the previous record by over 42 points. This post earned 170 reactions, 23 shares, and 17 comments, while reaching 3,521 people, the most attention earned on Facebook.

1. The youngest member on the Wildcats joined the team on September 28, when Colton Hoffman signed his National Letter of Intent at his press conference. Hoffman is a 12-year old boy who connected with Arizona through Team IMPACT. This draft day positively impacted both Colton and the team.Â
