2016-17: Placed first vs. NAU/OSU/NMSU in the 200 free (1:50.51) and 500 free (4:59.95)…Had the fifth fastest team times in the 200 free and 1,000 free with 1:46.67 (NCAA B cut) and 10:03.69, respectively…Took 18th in the Texas Invitational (16:54.28) and the 20th at the Pac-12 Championships (16:47.24) in the 1,650 freestyle…Earned Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention…Member CSCAA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention.

2015-16: Had the second fastest time on the team in the 500 free with 4:44.58…At Pac-12 Championships, finished 13th in the 1,650 free (16:41.31) and fourth in the C final of the 200 free (1:48.00)…Took first in the 500 free (4:53.45) and third in the 200 free (1:49.73) against No. 2 Stanford… Finished first in the 500 free (4:52.85) and second in the 1,000 free (10:09.15) versus No. 3 Cal…At the Texas Invitational, placed 10th in the 1,650 free with 16:50.69 and third in the B final of the 500 free with 4:45.33.

High School: A four-time letterwinner in the distance freestyle at Archbishop Mitty…Was the team captain and MVP her senior year…Holds the school record in the 200 free and 500 free…Was the 24th-ranked recruit out of California…Received the Dean’s List award as a senior for having a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above…Team was the 2015 Central Coast Section Champions.

Personal: Born Sarah Jessica Shimomura in November of 1997 to Scott and Sherri Shimomura…Has an older brother, Sam and a younger brother, Steven…Planned major in business at Arizona…Likes to go to the beach and surf in her free time…Chose Arizona over UCLA and Indiana.
