Barranquilla, Columbia - Arizona rising junior 
Jorge Iga set four Mexican national records a the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) games in Barranquilla, Columbia this week. Iga was representing his home country of Mexico in the event.
The CAC Games is a championship event held every four years and are the longest continuing regional games, aside from the Olympics.
 
The San Luis Potosi, Mexico native set the national record in the 100m freestyle with 49.07 on July 20. Two days later, he set another Mexican record with 24.01 in the 50m fly.
 
On July 24, the incoming junior set two games and national records. In the 200m free, Iga won the race with 1:47.19, beating the games previous record by almost two seconds. In addition, Iga helped Mexico win the 4x100m free relay, also setting a games and national record. He split 49.23, the fastest on his team.
