Former Wildcats Chelsea Goodacre (2012-15) and Hallie Wilson (2012-15) and the USSSA Florida Pride swept the Chicago Bandits in three games in the National Pro Fastpitch Championship Series to secure the 2018 Cowles Cup.
It marks the first NPF title for the two members of the Pride, after winning their fourth consecutive regular season title with a 42-5 regular season.
The duo was victorious over fellow Wildcat
Danielle O'Toole's (2016-17) Bandits, who finished runner up in O'Toole's second year in the league.

Goodacre and Wilson are in their fourth season with the Pride. Wilson was named all-NPF for the second straight season this year while Goodacre, who won the Gold Glove in 2017, was one of three finalists for the award again this year.
Goodacre finished second in the NPF in both RBI (33) and doubles (9). She hit .279 and slugged .496, ninth best in the league. She hit five home runs in 111 at-bats.
Wilson hit .299 over 37 games. She had five doubles, 10 RBI and scored 14 runs on the season. She did not commit an error in 156 defensive chances.
O'Toole, who split duties with the Bandits with a busy summer with USA Softball that included gold medals in the U.S. International Cup and the WBSC World Championship, finished fifth in the league with a 0.58 ERA. O'Toole struck out 14 batters over 12 innings.
