Starkville, Miss. – Coming off two wins last weekend against UC Riverside and Grand Canyon, the Wildcats traveled to Starkville for the ITA Kick Off Weekend.  The Wildcats will look add to their win streak when they face off against UNC Wilmington on Jan. 26, 2019 at 10 am (MST). The dual matches this weekend are hosted by Miss. St. and will be held at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Center.
 
The winner of the dual match will decide who advances on to the championship round to face the winner of No. 3 Mississippi State and Wichita State. The championship will be held on Jan. 27, at 12 pm (MST) for the chance to move on to the ITA Indoors. The consolation match will be held at 9 am (MST).
 
"Big weekend for the team and a good measuring stick to see where we are at as a program," said head coach Clancy Shields. "This is the first time we have been in the National Indoor Championships since 2011, so we are excited to get after it and compete against some tough teams. Our goal is to make it to the final site, we will start with a very gritty UNCW team tomorrow."
