Starkville, Miss. – The Wildcats finished the day with a 4-1 victory over UNC Wilmington. After losing the doubles point, senior Jonas Maier put the Wildcats on the board with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over junior Michael Morphy (UNCW), followed by wins from the freshman Jonas Ziverts, and sophomores Filip Malbasic and Carlos Hassey.
 
 At the end of the day, the Wildcats clinched their spot in the championship round against No. 3 Miss. St. The Wildcats are looking forward to the opportunity to establish their program against a top team in the country.
 
 "Gritty win from the team today," said head coach Clancy Shields. "UNCW is a tough team and gave us all we could handle. We had to earn the win today, they didn't give us anything. We will have to get sharper tomorrow and bring our best if we want to make the final site of the National Indoor Championships. We are looking forward to playing the SEC Champions."         
 
Support your Wildcats when they take on No. 3 Miss. St. at noon (MST) tomorrow for the chance to move on the ITA Indoor Championships.
