TOKYO — Former Arizona Wildcats pitcher and third baseman Bobby Dalbec was selected to the All-World Team by the World Baseball Softball Confederation following his outstanding play with Team USA at the Premier12 tournament earlier this month.
Dalbec started in all eight tournament games for Team USA and finished the showcase with a pair of home runs and eight RBI, the latter of which led Team USA and ranked second across all Premier12 Tournament players. His international play was highlighted by a grand slam in the opening game of the tournament that helped lead Team USA to a 9-0 victory over the Netherlands.
As part of their tournament preparation, Dalbec and Team USA returned to Hi Corbett Field for an exhibition game against the Wildcats on Oct. 26. A full photo gallery of the night's action can be found

Dalbec played three seasons at Arizona from 2014-16. He was a Freshman All-American in 2014, an All-American in 2015, a two-time member of the All-Pac-12 First Team, and a two-time semifinalist for the John Olerud Award. The Red Sox selected Dalbec in the fourth round of the 2016 MLB Draft following his career in Tucson.
During the 2019 season, his third full professional campaign, Dalbec combined to hit 27 home runs with 73 RBI across time with Double-A Portland and Triple-A Pawtucket in the Red Sox farm system. Just last week he was added to the Boston 40-man Major League roster. He is currently ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the Boston organization by MLB Pipeline.
