TUCSON, Ariz. – Cate Reese scored a career-high 22 points on her birthday to lead Arizona (1-0) to a season-opening win over North Dakota (0-1) by a score of 74-42 on Tuesday night in McKale Center. The Wildcats were a force defensively, forcing 27 turnovers while outscoring the Fighting Hawks 44-16 in the paint.

Cate Reese – The sophomore scored a career-high 22 points to go along with six rebounds and five steals on the night. She shot 10-20 from the field and played 28 minutes. Reese now has six 20-point games in her short career.

3,540 – Arizona broke their school record for attendance in a season-opener as 3,540 fans flocked to McKale Center on Tuesday night to watch the Cats take down North Dakota.
