OFF THE TOP
- Arizona is 95-8 in the last 103 games they have played in the McKale Center, tied for the third-fewest losses in the country. Arizona is also 48-1 in its last 49 non-conference home games.

-The Wildcats are coming off a 91-52 win over Northern Arizona on Wednesday, with four players scoring in double figures and the team shooting 54 percent from the floor.

- The starting lineup for Arizona against NAU featured three freshmen - Nico Mannion, Josh Green and Zeke Nnaji. It's the first time in program history that the first game of the season saw three freshmen in the starting lineup.

- Leading the way in the scoring column for UA was freshman Nnaji, who dropped 20 points to go along with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one blocked shot. He's one of two true freshmen in the country to post a line like that through the first 5 days of the regular season.

- The 20 points by Nnaji are the most by a freshman in his debut under head coach Sean Miller at Arizona and the most by any UA freshman since Hassan Adams (22 points) in 2002.

-As a team, Arizona committed just seven turnovers in the game against NAU, the fewest in a season opener since committing just five vs. NAU in 2007.

- The Arizona Wildcats have eight newcomers on the roster for the 2019-20 season, with four freshmen and four incoming transfers - two of which are grad transfers.
Grad transfers Stone Gettings (Cornell) and Max Hazzard (UC Irvine) are eligible to play right away along with redshirt sophomore Jemarl Baker Jr. (Kentucky), who received a waiver from the NCAA on Oct. 31 and is eligible to play immediately. The fourth transfer is Jordan Brown (Nevada), who will sit out the 2019-20 season and have three years of eligibility remaining starting with the 2020-21 season.

- Illinois enters Sunday's contest with a 2-0 record and is coming off a 83-71 win at Grand Canyon on Friday night.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Arizona and Illinois have met just 14 times dating back to the 1966 season, but this will be just the seventh on-campus meeting between the two teams. The last time Illinois came to Tucson was Jan. 30, 1988 and the Wildcats came away with a 78-70 win. After dropping a heartbreaking game to the Illini in the 2005 NCAA Tournament, Arizona has won the last two meetings in 2006 and in overtime in 2007.
