Senior Season (2019-20)
Became the first Arizona men’s basketball player to be named Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year… was the third Wildcat to surpass 1,000 career points on the year, reaching the milestone on Feb. 6 against USC… played in 27 games after missing five games in December due to concussion/facial fracture… was in the starting lineup for the final 16 games of the season… averaged 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds while shooting 36.6 percent from the 3-point line and 48.3 percent overall from the floor… in his first game at Arizona, he scored 13 points on 3-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc against Northern Arizona (11/6)… in the game at Washington (1/30), began a string of three straight games scoring in double figures with 13 points and three rebounds… posted his only double-double of the season at Washington State (2/1), finishing with a season high 19 points and 12 rebounds… tallied 12 points and eight rebounds in a win at home against USC (2/6)… scored 11 points and added eight rebounds against Oregon… went for six points and nine rebounds against Washington State (3/5)… closed the regular season with six points and seven rebounds against Washington (3/7)… his final collegiate game saw him register five points and five rebounds in a Pac-12 Tournament win against Washington (3/11).

Played three seasons at Cornell before transferring to Arizona in January of 2019...All-Ivy League Second Team as a junior in 2017-18...Averaged 16.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game as a junior...CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team selection in 2017-18, along with a First Team Academic All-District nod...Scored a career-high 39 points at Delaware as a junior...Averaged 12.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game as a sophomore in 2016-17 while starting all 29 games...Scored 22 points and added six rebounds at USC as a sophomore...Played in all 28 games as a freshman, scoring 14 points at Georgia Tech...Graduated in 2015 from Loyola HS...Averaged 15 points and 10.9 rebounds as a senior co-captain...Earned First Team All-League and All-Area honors as a senior...Two-time winner of the Loyola HS Scholar-Athlete Award...Son of John and Anne Gettings...Full name is John Stonewall Gettings.
