Tucson--Ariz. Freshman men's golfer Aidric Chan, off a strong fall for the Wildcats, will be competing in the Southeast Asian Games, which begin Wednesday and run through Dec. 8. The competition will take place at the Luisita Golf and Country Club in Tarlac City, Philippines.Â
Chan will be representing the Philippines, his home country and the host nation of the games.Â
Chan's best round of golf as a Wildcat so far is a 65, which he scored during his second round of the Maui Jim Intercollegiate in September. Chan tied for third place in that event. He also competed in the Asia-Pacific Amateur during the fall.Â
Â
"Representing your country is a terrific honor," said head coach Jim Anderson. "Aidric continues doing great things on the golf course, and he has earned this opportunity."
