Cats Close Out Regular Season Indoors in Flagstaff & Seattle

Tucson, Ariz. – The regular season for indoors will come to a close for the Cats this weekend in Flagstaff, Ariz. and Seattle, Wash. A handful of athletes will compete in the NAU Tune-Up on Friday and Carlos Villarreal will compete in the mile run at the UW Last Chance Meet on Saturday.

Last Time Out: The Cats competed in the Texas Tech Shootout and the Husky Classic. Highlighting the weekend was sophomore Jordan Geist, who threw a mark of 21.15m in the shot put to claim the No. 4 mark on the global list.
Cats Can Jump: High jumpers Lillian Lowe and Justice Summerset will compete in the NAU Tune-Up. Lowe ranks eighth on the national list and third on the MPSF list with a mark of 1.82m (5-11.5) set at the Texas Tech Classic. Summerset ranks second on the MPSF list and checks in at the No. 23 spot on the national list with a mark of 2.17m (7-1.5).
Quick Cats: Na'Asha Robinson, Tatum Waggoner, Zakee Washington and Umajesty Williams return to the blocks at the NAU Tune-Up. The ladies clocked season-best times in the 200-meter dash last weekend and the pair of men clocked PRs in the discipline. Williams also clocked an indoor PR in the 400-meter dash with a time of 46.61, good for the No. 1 mark on the MPSF list.
Seattle Special: Carlos Villarreal will compete in the mile run on Saturday at 4 p.m. The lone Wildcat traveling to Seattle holds a season-best time of 4:00.36 and a PR of 3:57.64.
