Arizona Set to Take On USD

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona Women's Tennis team is set to take on the USD Toreros Saturday afternoon in San Diego, Calif. and is looking to extend their three-game winning streak to start the season.

Arizona

The Cats are riding a three-game winning streak to start their 2019 season and will compete in their first road match this spring on Saturday. The team defeated Memphis in the season opener, followed up with two wins against NAU and New Mexico State on last Saturday's doubleheader. The senior Camila Wesbrooks has yet to lose a singles match this season with a 3-0 record so far and will look to continue her personal hot streak.

USD

The San Diego Women's Tennis team has an 0-1 record to start the season, after falling to USC last weekend 4-2. Their standout freshman Solymar Colling defeated Angela Kulikov while Daniela Morales defeated Ana Neffa to count for their 2 wins for the match.

Last Matchup

The last matchup between the Toreros and Cats goes back to last season when Arizona walked away with a 4-3 win. Wesbrooks, Gitte Heynemans, and Talya Zandberg all proved victorious in their singles matches that day.

Matches will begin at 12 p.m. MST.
