TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona Wildcats (12-7, 2-1) ninth double-digit offensive output of the year produced an 18-7 victory secured them a series win over the Utah Utes (7-8, 1-2) in Pac-12 Conference play on Sunday afternoon at Hi Corbett Field.

The Cats offense put together one of their best outings of the year, collecting a season-high 20 base hits while also drawing five walks. Arizona used three five-run innings – the second, fifth, and eighth – to overwhelm the Utah pitching staff and wrap up a dominant 18-7 victory.

After the Utes closed the Wildcats lead to just one run at 7-6 in the top of the fifth, the Arizona offense hit back with a five-run salvo in the bottom of the frame to pad the lead. Arizona batted around the order in the fifth and got RBI base knocks from shortstop
Jacob Blas and center fielder
Matt Fraizer.

Fraizer led the Cats offense by going 4-for-5 with one run scored and four RBI to extend his hitting streak to 13 games. He now has a team-leading 28 RBI on the season and has already matched his RBI total from the entire 2018 season.

Austin Wells (3x5, 2 R, 2 2B), third baseman

Matthew Dyer (1x6, 2 RBI). Cannon's conference-leading 12
th double of the year was one of eight Wildcats extra-base hits on the afternoon.

Freshman right-hander
Bryce Collins got the start for Arizona and worked 4.0 innings on 96 pitches. He allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits while striking out two, but did not factor into the decision.

Randy Labaut (2-1) earned his second win of the year after working the final five frames for the Cats. He scattered just four hits and allowed two runs (one earned) with six strikeouts to lock down the victory.
