TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona Women's Tennis team dropped a close match to Colorado on Friday afternoon, 4-3.Â
The Cats started off hot in doubles with
Camila Wesbrooks and
Gitte Heynemans making quick work if their opponents on court two, 6-1. Colorado managed to take the matches on courts one and three, giving them the doubles point going into singles.Â
Sophia Thomas dominated on court six, winning by a score of 6-0, 6-2 to capture her sixth win of the season. Wesbrooks then won her match by a score of 6-1, 6-4 followed up with another win by
Emma Wilson who beat No. 121 ranked Sara Nayar 6-4, 7-5.
The Buffs rallied to clinch the match by winning three consecutive matches on courts three, four, and five.Â
Arizona will be back in action tomorrow against Utah at 12 p.m. MST.
