TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona Women's Tennis team will open up Pac-12 conference play this weekend at home against USC Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. MST. and UCLA on Saturday at 12 p.m. MST.Â
The Cats are coming off a sweep of a doubleheader last weekend against UNLV and Portland, extending their winning streak to five matches in a row and eight home matches in a row to start the season. The last time they started the season with eight home match wins in a row was back in 2016-2017.Â
Sophomore
Gitte Heynemans has yet to lose a Singles match on the year and improved to 7-0 last Sunday while fellow Sophomore and teammate
Talya Zandberg holds a strong 7-1 Singles record as well.Â
USCÂ
The Trojans are riding a winning streak of their own, taking their last four matches and most recently against Hawai'i last Sunday. USC has two players that are ranked, #34 Salma Ewing and #120 Becca Weissmann.Â
UCLA
The Bruins hold a 7-2 overall record on the year and are coming off of a home loss against USC. The team also checks in as the No. 6 overall team in the latest ITA rankings.Â
