LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Arizona Men's Tennis team was defeated by No.10 USC Friday afternoon by a score of 4-2.Â
Trojans came out of the gates hot as they won on courts one and three to clinch the doubles point heading into singles.Â
Arizona struck first in singles play when
Jonas Maier won on court six in a quick two sets 6-4, 7-5. USC then responded with wins on courts one and three to take a two point lead.Â
The Cats got their second win in singles play on court two thanks to
Filip Malbasic who added to his team high win total today, capturing his 18th of the year defeating No. 16 Daniel Cukierman 6-1, 2-6, 7-5. The Trojans then clinched the match with a win from Mor Bulis on court five.Â
Wildcats will look to bounce back tomorrow against No. 14 UCLA at 1:00 p.m.Â
