TUCSON, Ariz.- After a strong regular season, sophomore
Trevor Werbylo has earned a spot on the All-Pac-12 second team, the conference announced Wednesday. This is Werbylo's first postseason nod after a record breaking sophomore season.
Â
The Tucson local had a stellar season, leading the team in average, rounds under par, and Top 20 finishes. Werbylo will enter the postseason with a scoring average of 70.86, the fourth lowest in Arizona men's golf history. Werbylo also lives in the history books as the lowest round in relation to par, after shooting a 10-under 62 at one of Arizona's home events, the N.I.T. His 36-hole score of 132 (-12) is the fifth lowest in school history.
Â
Aside from the record breaking scores, Werbylo had his highest career finish at the Arizona Intercollegiate, finishing tied in second, as well as setting a new career low 54-hole score of 202 (-11). Other notable finishes for the sophomore included two fourth place finishes at the Cabo Collegiate and the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic, and two fifth place finishes at the Little Rock Invitational and the N.I.T.

"Trevor has been outstanding this year," coach
Jim Anderson said. "He has prepared exceptionally well and he is a quick study from experience. We are very proud of his accomplishments and we know he is hungry to continue improving and helping his team."
Werbylo and the Cats are awaiting their postseason fate. The NCAA Men's Golf Selection Show is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1 at 6 p.m., MST. It will be televised on the Golf Channel. Last year, Arizona finished sixth in the Kissimmee, Florida region.Â
