"Our team is ready to compete together. We have settled into the schedule with classes and practice and recently finished up on our team's qualifying yielding some great scores," said head coach
Jim Anderson. "Our lineup features experienced returners with Trevor and David leading the way. Both have played great all summer and know getting off to a good start to the season will set them up to accomplish team and personal goals. Briggs and Brad are always focused on our team and they too are capable of stringing together great rounds to help us compete. Aidric will be our newcomer in this line up and he has been rock solid since arriving.Â
Arizona will be competing in a competitive field of 14 other teams, including Arizona State (No. 2), Pepperdine (No. 10), Southern California (No. 11), Louisiana State (No. 15), Clemson (No. 17) and Illinois (No. 19). North Carolina State, Utah, Colorado, Kent State, Minnesota, Augusta, Georgia State and Florida State round out the competition.Â
"Our team will be ready for golf in the desert and scheduling to open at Mirabel in Scottsdale is a treat for us," Anderson said. "We will stay patient and putt well this week which should give us a great opportunity against other top programs in the Maui Jim Intercollegiate."Â
