Tucson, Ariz. - The Arizona Swimming and Diving teams will take on Cal and Stanford on the road this weekend. They square off against Cal Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. MST followed up with a matchup against Stanford Saturday at 1 p.m. MST.
The eighth-ranked men will look to remain perfect on the season as they are coming off of an impressive 199-154 win over Northwestern. Meanwhile, the Wildcat women currently sit at No. 22 in this month's CSCAA rankings and are coming off a split against NAU and Northwestern. They suffered a tough loss against Northwestern but dominated in a 226-120 win over NAU.
Scouting the Competition
Cal: Currently, both of the Bears teams rank inside the top 2 in the nation. The women sit atop the rankings at No. 1, while the men are No. 2. The Cal men have competed in just one dual meet all year in which they defeated Pacific. The women have competed in three dual meets, defeating Washington State, UC San Diego, and San Jose State.
Stanford: The Stanford women sit at No. 4 in the most current rankings while the men sit at No. 19. Just like the Bears, the Stanford men have competed in just one dual meet all season also defeating Pacific. The women have competed in two dual meets defeating Washington State and Arkansas.
