TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (5-2) welcome the Central Michigan Chippewas (5-2) to Hi Corbett Field this Wednesday, Feb. 26 for a midweek matchup ahead of this weekend's Arizona Tournament.
Arizona rode a stellar bullpen effort and timely hitting to a 2-1 record at the Tony Gwynn Legacy event last weekend in San Diego. Dating back to last season, the Wildcats have won eight straight games at home in the friendly confines of Hi Corbett Field.
The Chippewas, who have yet to play a home game this season, recently took 2-for-3 games from Jacksonville State over the weekend. Freshman infielder Zach Lechnir leads a Central Michigan lineup that features five starters hitting above .300 on the season.
