TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Gymnastics sophomore
Kennedi Davis earned the honor of Pac-12 Coaches' Choice, voted on by the conference coaches, after strong performances on vault, beam, and floor on Sunday against California.
"Kennedi had her best performance of the season last weekend when the team needed it," head coach
John Court said. "She has played a large role in the consistency and success of our 2020 season."
Davis tied her career-high of 9.875 on the balance beam and helped Arizona earn season-high scores on vault, beam, and a season-best final score of 196.275. She tied for first place on beam with teammate
Jenny Leung, after scoring 9.875 for the third consecutive week, helping the beam team earn a season-high of 49.175. Davis also earned a 9.775 on vault to push the GymCats to a season-high of 49.20 on the event and posted a 9.825 on floor.
Arizona will return home to host Arizona State on Friday, March 6 and a tri-meet with Ohio State and Bridgeport on Sunday, March 8.
