TUCSON, Ariz. - For the second straight season, Arizona shortstop
Jessie Harper has been named first-team CoSIDA Academic All-District, CoSIDA announced on Thursday.
Harper is the first Wildcat to earn the distinction in back-to-back years since K'Lee Arredondo in 2009 and 2010. She is now eligible to be an Academic All-American, which are set to be announced June 8-11.
In addition to her two Academic All-District honors, Harper has been a member of the Pac-12 All-Academic first or second teams every year she has been eligible. Harper is graduating this week with a degree in Sociology with a 3.75 GPA. She will return to Arizona in 2021 for her redshirt senior season and begin her Master's program.
Harper, a two-time All-American and three-time first-team all-Pac-12 performer, enters her redshirt senior season with 76 career home runs, tied for fifth most in Arizona history, seventh most in pac-12 history and 12th most in NCAA history.
