TUCSON, Ariz. – On Tuesday, the USTFCCCA announced the complete list of 2020 indoor All-Americans. Due to the cancellation of the NCAA Indoor Championships, all athletes on the start list for their respective event will receive All-America honors with no first team, second team or honorable mention distinction. 

Four Wildcats, including Carlos Villarreal, Israel Oloyede, Justice Summerset and Alexa Porpaczy earned All-America honors.

Redshirt-senior Carlos Villarreal was gearing up to compete in the mile at the NCAA Championships for the third consecutive year. He clocked a PR time of 3:56.77 at the NYRR Millrose Games on February 8, ranking him third in the NCAA. 

Junior transfer Israel Oloyede qualified for the weight throw competition with a mark of 22.34m (73-3.5) . His throw placed him eighth in the NCAA and gave him the best weight throw mark in school history. Prior to Arizona, Oloyede was the NJCAA champion in the weight throw at Paradise Valley Community College.

Arizona qualified two athletes in the high jump: senior Justice Summerset and sophomore Alexa Porpaczy. Summerset cleared his qualifying mark of 2.23m (7-3.75) at the Texas Tech Shootout on February 14 while Porpaczy punched her ticket on January 31 at the Texas Tech Invitational with a mark of 1.80m (5-10.75). She also went on to claim the MPSF high jump title with a clearance of 1.79m (5-10.5).
