TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Baseball has been honored as a Top 25 team in the preseason rankings from every major national media poll. The unanimous selection was confirmed on Monday morning when the Wildcats checked in at No. 15 in the Baseball America preseason ranking.

The Wildcats No. 15 ranking from Baseball America marks the highest the outlet has ranked Arizona to open a season since the 2012 National Championship squad kicked off the campaign ranked preseason No. 5.

With today's Baseball America announcement, three of the four major national media rankings have now identified the Wildcats as a Top 15 team. The only outlet yet to release their preseason rankings is the USA Today Coaches Poll.

National Media Preseason Rankings:

Collegiate Baseball: No. 10
Perfect Game: No. 11
Baseball America: No. 15
D1Baseball: No. 22

The 2021 Wildcats combine a talented, accomplished group of 22 returning players from last year's 10-5 squad with an incoming class of freshmen and transfers that Baseball America ranked as the No. 4 class in the nation.

The Wildcats begin full-team practices and scrimmaging this week in preparation for the upcoming season. Arizona's 2021 schedule is expected to be released in the coming weeks. Recently the Pac-12 announced an extension to the prohibition on fan attendance at Pac-12 sport competitions taking place on Pac-12 campuses until further notice.
