No. 1 Arizona Men's Golf Faces Loaded Cabo Collegiate Field

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – With four team and individual championships won in their last two tournaments, the No. 1 ranked Arizona Wildcats will ride a hot streak into the Cabo Collegiate at TPC San Antonio. The event, which tees off on Monday, March 1, boasts a 16-team field that features seven other programs in the GolfStat Top 25 rankings with half of the top-10 ranked teams.
"We want to continue to play our best golf and take the necessary steps to get better as we get closer to postseason play in May," said head coach Jim Anderson. "We've played some really good golf as a team with early wins already, and I'm excited to see our team compete against a very strong field with the momentum we've carried over from our last two events."
Arizona won its home event, the Arizona Intercollegiate, by six strokes in January as senior Brad Reeves won the individual title for his first collegiate win. The Wildcats split The Prestige event in Palm Springs three weeks later after trying North Carolina at four strokes under par. Trevor Werbylo was a co-champion on the individual side to earn his first collegiate title. With its back-to-back tournament championships, Arizona has won multiple team events in a season for the first time since 2006.
The 11th edition of the Cabo Collegiate was moved from its home site in Mexico to San Antonio, Texas this season. TPC San Antonio is the home of the PGA's Valero Texas Open.
