SEATTLE, Wash. - Arizona fought to the last court, but fell just short, losing to the No. 40 Washington Huskies 4-3. They gear up to face Washington State on Sunday, Mar. 14 at 1 p.m MST.
The Wildcats fell into an early hole, losing the doubles point and the first singles point to make it a 2-0 deficit.
Khim Iglupas cut the defecit down with the only straight set win of the day for the Wildcats.
Gitte Heynemans and
Talya Zandberg both won close three-set battles to eventually tie the game at 3-3 before Amos lost an intense 8-6 tiebreaker.
