Leading Off...

  • The Wildcats polish off their Los Angeles road trip with a single game against the Loyola Marymount Lions. The game comes on the heels of Arizona's first Pac-12 Conference series of the year at No. 11 UCLA, in which they went 1-2.
  • Arizona holds a 17-8 edge in the all-time series against Loyola Marymount. The two programs last faced off in 2009, a three-game series in Tucson that was swept by the Wildcats on scores of 12-2, 9-5, and 7-6.
  • Arizona has scored at least one run in 128 straight games. They have not suffered a shutout loss since falling 1-0 at Washington on March 17, 2018. Their 128-game scoring streak is the longest active scoring streak in the Pac-12.
  • Arizona's 176 wins since 2016 are the third-most in the Pac-12 Conference, behind only Oregon State (200) and Stanford (181). Head coach Jay Johnson's .633 winning percentage at Arizona is the second-best mark by a Wildcats head coach in the modern era (1950-current).
  • Over the last 48 games Arizona has played, dating back to 2019, the Wildcats have gone 36-12 (.750) and won nine series.
  • Under head coach Jay Johnson, the Wildcats have dominated non-conference opponents to the tune of a sparkling 114-42 (.731) record, giving them the second-best non-conference winning percentage in the Pac-12.
