PULLMAN, Wash. — Game one between the Arizona Wildcats (21-11, 7-6) and the Washington State Cougars (17-12, 5-8) went to the home team on a final score of 21-2 on Friday night.
Washington State scored 15 runs over the first three innings and never looked back, taking an early edge in the three-game series.
The Wildcats offense picked up six hits and seven walks but only pushed across two runs. An RBI groundout from
Kaden Hopson and an RBI single from
Tanner O'Tremba, both in the sixth inning, accounted for all of Arizona's scoring.
